Does anyone have any information surrounding the national rate of alcohol consumption following prohibition?
Q. I essentially wish to know if the national rate of alcohol consumption increased after alcohol was made legal, or did it decrease? Any elaborations on this point would be greatly appreciated as well, thanks.

A. A review of alcohol consumption patterns during and after Prohibition shows that during most of the Prohibition era per capita alcohol consumption actually increased. After "Prohibition's repeal in 1933, consumption remained fairly stable until after the Second World War when, without any change in public policy, it began increasing."

A. I think that as unemployment rises, so will alcohol consumption. The two must be correlated. However, since 1980 alcohol consumption in the US has declined.. Here is a web site I found. I do believe that during poor economic times that alcohol consumption will increase.

What are the rules concerning alcohol consumption and/or service on American-bound flights?
Q. What are the different rules on alcohol service for international-bound flights?
Asked by Kelly - Fri Jul 17 20:14:59 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Either inbound or outbound the rules are the same. If you're asking about drinking ages, the drinking age is determined by the laws in the country that the airline is registered. On American carriers the legal age is 21, in England the legal drinking age is 18, on airlines such as British Airways or Virgin Atlantic you can drink on the plane if you can drink on the plane if you're 18 or older and so on depending on the country. Otherwise, another general rule is that most airlines will cut you off if you become too inebriated or they feel you have drank too much.
