A resource is any physical or virtual entity of limited availability, or anything used to help one earn a living. In most cases, commercial or even ethic factors require resource allocation through resource management. Types of values attached to resourcesAs resources are very useful, we attach some information value to them. Resources help to produce goods so they have economic value. Natural resources like forests, mountains etc. are considered beautiful so they have aesthetic value. Gifts of nature such as water also have a legal value because it is our right to consume them. On the other hand, resources have an ethical value as well because it is our moral duty to protect and conserve them for the future generations. From Wikipedia under the

Q. I'd like to spend about 6 months in Central or South America doing social work with Spanish speaking populations. Other than the peace corps, where can I find resources describing what's available and how to apply? Yo hablo el castellano con facilidad. Asked by holacarinados - Wed Dec 12 12:45:54 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Unless you are a fluent Spanish speaker, with skills that are either transferable to the local population and will help them get employment, or, with skills that are desperately needed in the area, you are probably not going to be able to find a job in Central or South America -- it's much more appropriate for social service organizations to hire local people to do work than to pay someone to come in from another country. That said, you do have some options, if you are willing to pay your airfare, local transporation costs, costs for your security and staff to supervise you, food, etc. Here is a web site that can help you learn more about the skills and experience desired by long-term placement organizations, and how you can gain that… [cont.] Answered by Jayne says READ MORE BOOKS - Wed Dec 12 15:22:27 2007 How do I start in Human Resources without experience and a degree in sociology?
Q. Almost all the jobs in Human Resources require experience so how do you get a job in HR with no experience in that field when your degree is in sociology? Is it possible? Would you need to take HR classes? I have worked in a bank for four and a half years so would a bank accept you for an HR job? Asked by Christy n - Sat Jan 19 13:32:47 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Unfortunately HR jobs do require experience now days. There are however several ways to get experience in HR. If you are still in school you can try to get some type of work study. Since you are at the bank you can ask your HR Department if you could volunteer in the HR Department one day a week so that you can get some experience. Last, if a company is desperate enough they will train you. Good luck Answered by anniemaetrapp - Sat Jan 19 13:46:18 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Resources"
